DVDs of 1975 EQ TV series

Several Web sites are offering boxed sets of DVDs of the complete TV series starring Jim Hutton and David Wayne. One place, poppingtags.com, says it has a collector's edition of 13 DVDs, including one show with Peter Lawford. tvdvdplanet.com and tv-dvd-shop.com have a 12-disk set. Does anyone know about these? Are the shows uncut, with the fun intros, etc.? When did they come out? Amazon and Barnes and Noble don't seem to know about them.
Thanks.

Re: DVDs of 1975 EQ TV series

The shows have never been commercially released in DVD format. (I keep hoping). I have a complete set copied by a friend from a set he bought on Ebay. That set was, in fact, recorded from the A&E TV network where, years ago, the episodes were shown in their entirety. The good thing about the A&E versions is that they are uncut -- they have everything, including opening and closing credits. The bad thing is that they are recored in analog off the air, like all other volumes now available. I keep hoping that remastered versions will be released. BTW, the Lawford episode would be the earlier pilot for an Ellery Queen series, filmed around 1970 or 1971. It was pretty terrible. Lawford plays Ellery as an English 70s mod kind of character and Harry Morgan plays the inspector, who is there portrayed as Ellery's uncle.

i picked up a copy a few months back from thevintageplayhouse.com. Quality was good - included menus and retail packaging. Those other sites I don't trust they have very strange policies.
