Problem with Editing my Profile

I have registered and activated my account already. And I have logged in.

But when I go to "User CP" and try to edit my account or do anything else, I get the following message.

This board has a very impressive number of members, and it seems to be increasing at an accelerating rate, but somehow I suspect most of the new members are not really interested in posting anything on-topic. On other vBulleting boards I have noticed an image verification test as part of the process of registering. If that is available here, and were to be turned on, I think it would stop automatized registering of new accounts.

Image verification only stops automated spam bots it doesn't stop a real live person from spamming.

I see. So it is a single person doing this, manually? That is somewhat alarming.

You would not believe the amount of spam that goes to the moderation queue.

By the way, what happened to all the legitimate members who, it appears, until recently were active here? Did they all accept an invitation from a stranger to go to an island over the weekend?
